Relay protection sampling is used to acquire, digitize, and process electrical signals from the power system to enable fast, accurate, and reliable operation of protective relays.Purpose of Relay Protection SamplingRelay protection sampling involves measuring current and voltage signals from the power system via instrument transformers (CTs and VTs) and converting them into digital values for processing by the relay .
