How to configure a photovoltaic grid-connected distribution box

A PV grid-connected distribution box (combiner box) aggregates multiple solar panel strings, provides overcurrent and surge protection, and safely connects to the inverter and utility grid.Step 1: Prepare the Combiner BoxSelect a weatherproof enclosure rated at least IP65 for outdoor installations. Ensure it has sufficient space for all PV strings, fuses, DC breakers, surge protection devices (SPDs), and grounding busbars. Mount the box securely on a stable surface, leaving room for cable routing and maintenance .Step 2: Connect PV Strings to Branch InputsEach PV string's positive and negative terminals connect to the combiner box branch input terminals using MC4 connectors or appropriate terminals .Install fuses or DC circuit breakers for each string to protect against overcurrent.
